Furniture created on the Pacific coast won awards on the Atlantic coast in competition hosted by the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. Russel Gale, Franklin, North Carolina, won "Best-in-Show" for his Garboard Strake buffet, constructed in his second year as a CR Fine Woodworking student.
