We used gold plated hardware throughout this project because it doesn't oxidize the way other metals do (and because it is beautiful.) If you look at the two pictures below you can also see the inside lip of cedar that acts to stop the infiltration of air and to help stabilize the humidity within the humidor. You can also see the rails that the trays slide on as well as one of the dividers for the lower compartment.
