Erected in 1981, the wood shop was the first building owned by the College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg.

Prior to the completion of the permanent Learning Center, College classes were held in storefronts and warehouses across town.

The volleyball court at the right plays a vital part in maintaining sanity at the wood shop.
